We are not able to help with bulk heating fuels like propane or oil until November 2022. We are still accepting a limited number of crisis appointments for those at risk of disconnection for electricity, water/sewer, and natural gas utilities. Whatcom County: We have opened some more of our non-crisis, regular energy assistance appointments for PSE or CNG customers only. For water, please contact us when you are about 1-2 weeks out from being disconnected. If you are a renter, there may be utility help available through rental assistance. If you have a disconnection notice for water, sewer, electric, or gas utility, please contact our office in your area for a potential crisis appointment. Please be sure to contact your utility provider for payment arrangements to avoid disconnection of service. The utility moratorium on disconnections for all electric/natural gas/water has ended. Air purifiers are not available in Whatcom, Island, or San Juan Counties. If you meet this criteria, you may email or call to request more information. To be eligible for an Air Conditioner, you must reside in a household where someone is age 60 or over and has received LIHEAP since October 1, 2021. Delays may result in not being able to receive an AC unit this summer. If you have received a waiver form, please return as soon as possible. UPDATE (): Due to a high demand, we will no longer be accepting new requests for portable AC units.
