
If the previous solutions didn't work, check opacity and flow of your brush, in the brush settings at the top of your canvas. Ditto for your layer: go to the top of the layer stack and check that the selected mode is indeed on Normal. To do this, go to the brush settings at the top of your canvas and check that the drop-down list in front of "Mode" is indeed on normal. Check that these are in "Normal" mode, as other modes would have the effect of altering and modify the perception of colors. Go to the toolbox and at the level of the brush check that you have not selected the mixer brush.
